    Nearly everyone, it seems, has either been to Machu Picchu, or has always wanted to. The speaker presents a fascinating look at this 7th Wonder of the World, ranging from theories of its’ construction and history including the conquest of the Incas themselves; a summary of the exploration history of MP, which continues up to this day with very recent discoveries; images of the most stunning and dramatic stonework and architecture; and lastly summing up the area’s other rich archaeological highlights, some much lesser known.

    Will (“KB”) Janecek is a renowned expert in Machu Picchu and travel there; he has published (Cicerone Press, 2013) an authoritative and in depth book on the trails around and to Machu Picchu; been featured in National Geographic, CNN, the New York Times, Outside Online, Bike Magazine, and many more. He is a passionate admirer of Inca culture, history and construction techniques.
